Privacy Policy
How Heating Services Telford collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: 31 July 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us or use this website, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the rights you have. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
This website is operated by Heating Services Telford, a Gas Safe registered heating and boiler engineer based in Horsehay, Telford (Gas Safe Register No. 576668).
For any questions about this policy or your information, contact us on 07734 225955 or by email.
The information we collect
When you fill in our quote/contact form, we ask for:
- Your name
- Your telephone number
- Your email address (optional)
- Your postcode
- The service you need and a short description of the problem
- Your preferred way to be contacted
If you call, WhatsApp or email us instead, we'll hold whatever details you choose to share so we can help you. Our website host also collects limited technical information (such as your IP address) as a normal part of serving and securing the site.
Why we use your information
We only use your details to respond to your enquiry, give you a quote, arrange and carry out work, and keep the necessary records afterwards. The lawful bases we rely on are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business. We do not use your information for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it. Enquiries that don't lead to work are kept for a short period and then deleted; records relating to work carried out are kept longer to meet tax, warranty and legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Netlify — hosts this website and receives and stores submissions from our contact form.
- Google Maps — provides the coverage map shown on our homepage.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
Where your information is stored
Our providers may store data on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, they are required to protect it to a standard equivalent to UK data protection law.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us to: give you a copy of the information we hold about you; correct anything that's wrong; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; or provide it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, just contact us using the details above.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
